Anthony Corcoine

Corcoine, Anthony LOUDONVILLE Anthony Corcoine, 90, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Albany, the son of the late Pasquale and Mary Corcione. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army. He landed on Normandy Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944 for the Invasion on France, fighting his way through Europe. He served in General Patton's Army and was responsible for the care of General Patton's dog. Anthony retired after 30 years with Penn Central/ Conrail in Selkirk and he also farmed with Krug Farm. He enjoyed flowers, fishing and old cars. Anthony especially enjoyed gathering and functions with his family. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Frances (Montana) Corcoine; his loving daughter, Mary Ann McLennan; former son-in-law, Donald S. McLennan, Jr.; grandson, Donald T. McLennan (Caroline) and great-granddaughter, Jenna Frances McLennan. He also leaves behind his sisters, Mary Troiano, Frances Skorupski, and Ann Hoffman and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all those that cared for Tony in his final days, Albany Memorial Hospital fourth floor staff, Community Hospice of Albany, Colonie EMS, and especially his home health aides, Marsha Lee, Kieron, Fiona, Tiffany, Nicole, Norma and Taiyen. They all were wonderful. Also a special thank you to Bob, Marci and Jack. In addition to Anthony's parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Dominick, Michael and Daniel Corcoine and by a sister, Rose Miller. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, Loudonville. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
