Betty Stoll

Stoll, Betty PHILADELPHIA Betty Ruff Stoll, died on November 10, 2012, in Philadelphia. Born August 31, 1920, in the Bronx, Betty attended Hunter College. She later moved with her family to Herkimer, where she met her future husband, the late Carl Stoll. Betty was deeply in love with, and a source of great support for Carl. They lived together happily from 1939 until his death in 1987. Betty was employed for many years, first as an administrator in the Department of Health in Albany, and subsequently as an executive assistant at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She was fiercely independent, protective and proud of her children's and grandchildren's achievements. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her for the above qualities, as well as her sweet (and sometimes mischievous) smile which she bestowed with generosity. Betty is survived by her children, Jeffrey Stoll, Lawrence Stoll and Debra Stoll-Allen and her grandchildren, Robert, Eli, Gillian and Jeremy. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Independent Benevolent Cemetery on Fuller Road, Guilderland.
