Casimir L. Kot

Kot, Casimir L. ALBANY Casimir L. Kot, 83, passed peacefully Thursday, December 27, 2012. Born in Albany, he was the son of late Polish immigrants, Joseph and Bronka Sowek Kot. Mr. Kot founded Kot Electric in 1959, and retired in 1988. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran. Mr. Kot was a member of the Albany Elks, the Polish Community Center, the Albany Knights of Columbus, the Polish American Citizens Club, and the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post. He was a former member of Normanside Country Club. Casimir enjoyed golf, bowling, traveling, boating and spending time with his family. He was the husband of Anna Mae Goertz Kot; father of Karen Kot, Lawrence Kot (Connie), Kevin Kot (Stephanie), Theresa Nichols (Robert) and the late Cheryl Kot; brother of the late Stanley, Michael, Frank and John Kot, Pauline Menges and Helen Radzyminski; he is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lasak & Gigliotti Funeral Home, now located at 208 North Allen Street, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call Saturday morning, after 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
