Frank John Gondar

Gondar, Frank John ALBANY Frank John Gondar passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2012 surrounded by his loving family after a long and valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on October 10, 1952 in Augsburg, Germany to Francis M. Gondar Jr. and Brigitte H. Yashinsky Gondar. Frank graduated from the College of Staten Island, and started his 30 year career as a licensed insurance agent and broker. Frank's passion was music, whether it was playing the piano, guitar or just singing, he filled the world with song and joy. Known around the neighborhood as the "Mayor", he was always very welcoming, full of jokes, laughs and made everyone smile. Frank was an avid handy man and loved his workshop, also known as his "man cave". He enjoyed various hobbies including; skiing, crab fishing, photography, boating but camping on Lake George was his favorite. Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Alice Cinotti Gondar; daughters, Victoria A. Gondar, Julie M. Gondar; his father, Francis M. Gondar and sister, Cheryl Gondar-Lobaito (Leonard). Frank was predeceased by his mother, Brigitte H. Gondar. All relatives and friends are invited to attend both services. A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be offered at Holy Spirit Church on Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush, Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. Calling hours will be at W.J.
