Georgetta Brundige

Brundige, Georgetta WATERFORD Georgetta M. "Georgi" Brundige, 91, formerly of Middletown Road, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Baptist Nursing Home in Scotia. Born in Waterford, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Mary Catherine Gertzen Fischer. She was a 1938 graduate of Troy High School. A commercial artist by trade, Georgi had been employed at the former APT Publication in Albany. Prior to that, she worked at the former Behr-Manning Co. in Watervliet, now Saint Gobain. She was very creative and was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed doing oil paintings. Being an only child, her family was most important in her life. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Georgi was the widow of John P. Brundige, who died in 2004. She is mother of Carolyn M. Sacco (Rex Lardner) of Boca Raton, Fla., Janice E. Bradley (Gerald) of Ballston Spa and Robert J. Brundige (Patricia) of Waterford. She was the proud grandmother of Lauren, Matthew, Melissa, Bryan, Steven and Natalie and great-grandmother of Keegan, Jack and Sophie. Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Route 32) in Waterford, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
