Geraldine Ann "Jerry" Tucker

Tucker, Geraldine Ann "Jerry" DELAWARE, OHIO Geraldine "Jerry" Ann Tucker, age 85, of Delaware and formerly of Greenville, N.Y. passed away early Thursday morning, August 1, 2013 surrounded by her beloved daughters and family in Willow Brook at Delaware Run. She was born on January 21, 1928 in Dayton to the late Russel and Mary Jane (Barnes) Foster. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University earning a bachelor's in occupational therapy. Jerry worked a brief time in her field of study before marrying Carroll Tucker in 1951. Together they shared 52 wonderful years, raising a family and experiencing life's journey until he passed away in 2003. Active in the Greenville, community, her home of 25 years, she volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Red Cross Blood Drive. She was also an active member of the United Methodist Church of Greenville-Norton Hill, participating in the bell choir and United Methodist Women. She found interests in antiquing, camping and playing bridge. Described as a true lady, she possessed a wonderful sense of humor, creating a personality you could not help but love, and she was by all. Unselfish in every way, she was gentle and very compassionate. Independent in nature, she truly "did it all". Jerry loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trip to the Holy Land with her church group. Trips to Disney with her grandchildren will also long be treasured. She leaves a legacy of love for her family and was significant to many more than her own. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Debbie Tucker (Stuart Lasky) of Plymouth, Minn., Jennie (Gary) Greenbaum of Marysville, Ohio, and Kathie (Frank) Dudley of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Chris (Anna) Greenbaum, Heather (Andy) Clarridge, Joshua, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Danielle, and Devon Dudley; five great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Landon and Nyla Greenbaum, Ethan and Whitney Clarridge. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Foster. Celebration of life services will be held on Sunday, August 4 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Willow Brook at Delaware Run, 100 Delaware Crossing W, Delaware, OH 43015, with Chaplain Brad Jackson officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center in Delaware.
