Harold J. "Bud" Kircher Jr.

Kircher, Harold J. "Bud" Jr. ALBANY Harold J. Kircher Jr. "Bud", passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2012, while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Harold J. Kircher, Sr., and Loretta Hennessey Kircher. He was a graduate of CBA, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the War, he was employed by Williams Press in Menands, and by bill drafting in the NYS Legislature. He then opened his own real estate/development Firm, Kircher Realty and Kircher Properties, with his eldest son, Hal. He was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church in Albany, and was an active member of the Holy Cross Men's Association. He also was a proud member of Wolferts Roost Country Club for over 30 years. Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Frances Klapp Kircher; he was the proud father of five boys and two girls, Hal J. (Susan) of Guilderland, James F. of Albany, Stephen C. of Colonie, Jeffrey M. of Wilmington, N.C., Valerie A. Branche (John) of Colonie, Timothy S. (Diane) of Saratoga, and Kimberly A. Graziano (Peppy) of Colonie; his sisters, Miriam Feldman (Irv) of Schenectady, and Shirley Armstrong (Charles) of Saratoga; his 13 grandchildren, Jessica and Taylor Kircher, Tiffany Bashaw (Chris), Karly and Kelsey Kircher, Jonathan, Michelle, Lindsay and Michael-Jon Branche, Zachary Kircher, and Mia, Emily and Nicholas Graziano; his two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Kircher and Milo Warner; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Elaine Mink. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Wednesday morning at 8:15, and from there to All Saints Catholic Church, Homestead St., Albany at 9. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
