Harry F. Gardner

Gardner, Harry F. AVERILL PARK Harry F. Gardner, 63, of Kodiak Drive, died suddenly Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Samaritan Hospital after being stricken at home. Born in Chicago, he was son of the late Emery Gardner and Berniece Parsons Gardner and husband for 42 years of Carolyn Wegner Gardner. He was raised in Illinois and resided the past 26 years in Averill Park and attended Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Ill. Mr. Gardner was employed a consultant for MRB Communications in Schenectady for the past 15 years. He enjoyed bowling and playing poker with his friends and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War stationed in Thailand. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three children, Bradley (Basia) Gardner of Clifton Park, Melissa (Michael Jr.) Sousa of West Sand Lake and Brian (Bridget) Gardner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Sandy (Phil) Torrance, of Norman Okla.; a brother, Robert (Melody) Gardner of Colorado; five grandchildren, Lauren, Benjamin, Emily, Brandon and Ryan and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Gerald B.H.
