James C. Fish

Fish, James C. EAST GREENBUSH James C. Fish, 72, of East Greenbush, died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at St Peter's Hospice. James was born in Concord, N.H. James was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1969 and U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974. During his military service he did two tours in Vietnam, was a flight operations coordinator, aviation operations manager, Marine security in an embassy in Iceland, and a drill instructor in Paris Island. He was awarded the Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Airman Medal, Combat Aircrews Wings, two meritorious promotions and many other distinguished service awards. He was a truck driver for Red Star Express retiring in 2003 after 17 years. James volunteered as a defensive driving instructor for AARP, Meals on Wheels, was a member of the Teamsters union and the National Rifle Association. Predeceased by his brother, Gerald Fish. James is survived by his wife, Anna J. Andresdottir Fish and three daughters, Mekkin Decker, Lisa Johnson and Andrea Fish; two sisters, Althea Nunn and Judy Albano; and four grandchildren, Johanna, Shawn, Harper and James. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc., 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo. Light a condolence candle at wjrockefeller.com.
