Wisher, John H. Sr. WEST CHAZY/ SARASOTA, Fla. John H. Wisher Sr. "Jack", 75, of West Chazy, passed away after a brief illness on April 18, 2014 in Sarasota with his loving wife Carol (Wright) and his family by his side. Son of the late Harold and Delores Wisher. Jack retired from the Mohawk Paper Mill in Waterford. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Watervliet Elks Lodge. He is survived by, his wife Carol; children, Nancy (Alan) Phillips, Patty (Tim) Gardner, Linda (Tim) Bedard, John (Teresa) Wisher and Carol (Lyle) Darmetko; stepchildren, Tina (Martin) Brothers, Toni (Javier) Perez and Tracy Bedard (Ron Depo); grandchildren, Brian, Daniel and Kylie Phillips, Laura Freebern, Julie and Kevin Gardner, Nicholas and Madison Bedard; Christopher Finnegan, Benjamin, Olivia and Cassie Wisher; Julian, Connor and Carly Darmetko; Casey LaFountain, Courtney McGowan, Lucas, Luis and Isabela Perez, Jenna Sequin, Michael Bombard and Taylor Depo; great-grandchildren, Riley and Maverick Phillips; siblings, Pat Shufelt, Paul, Janet, Ruth, James, Mary and Phyllis Wisher and the late Connie Meher; special cousin Randy (Maryanne) Whisher; many nieces, nephews and his former wife and dear friend, Shirley Wisher. "Pop" loved his family and cherished time playing a good game of acey duecy with the grandkids. A special thank you to sister, Janet and cousin, Randy for all the love and care given to Jack during his illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on May 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Watervliet Lodge of Elks and a dedication to his final resting place will be held in the summer at a family owned camp in the Adirondacks.
