Laura M. (Lis) Pyskadlo

Pyskadlo, Laura M. (Lis) COHOES Laura M. (Lis) Pyskadlo, 89, of Cohoes, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, embraced by her loving family. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Adamczyk Lis and beloved wife of 72 years to Michael S. Pyskadlo of Cohoes. Laura was an area resident for many years. She retired from Norton Company, formerly Behr Manning in Watervliet where she worked for 18 years. She moved to New Port Richey, Fla. in 1980 where she and her husband enjoyed their retirement for 27 years. Laura loved to read, to garden and enjoyed bowling for many years in the Ball and Chain bowling league. But her true enjoyment came from the abundant love of her family, where she especially treasured babysitting her grandchildren. She relocated back to Cohoes in 2007 where she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her faith was a very important part of her life, and she taught her family how to face adversity and truly enjoy life. Laura was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Cohoes. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Robert (Delia) Pyskadlo Sr. of Latham; twin daughters, Michele (Chuck) Fannucci of Ballston Spa and Maureen (Neal) Forbes of Greer, S.C.; adored grandchildren, Mark and Robert Pyskadlo Jr., Darcie Sitterly, Tammy Savoia and Michael Forbes; cherished great-grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, and Michael Savoia, Kayla and Emma Sitterly, Lexah Pyskadlo and Patrick and Allison Forbes and several nieces and nephews who we are so grateful to for always being there for the family. She was predeceased by her siblings, Stella Ruddy, Mildred Zabek, John and William Lis. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd., 105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Michael's Church, Cohoes Thursday at 9 a.m. Interment will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Many thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Eddy Village Green for taking such good care of our mom for the past five years and also to Hospice who have helped us all through this very difficult time. Words cannot express our gratitude.
