Rose M. Lazorishchak

Lazorishchak, Rose M. WATERVLIET Rose M. (Delia) Lazorishchak, 91, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy. Born in Watervliet on February 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Liberato and Raffaela Tirabassi Delia. Rose was raised and educated in Watervliet and lived in Watervliet for most of her life before becoming a resident of the Eddy Heritage House in 2009. She was employed by the Norton Company in Watervliet for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Norton Retirees and was a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church in Watervliet. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, crocheting and her worm soup was her specialty. She was the wife of the late Nicholas P. Lazorishchak Sr. who died in 1998; loving mother of Nicholas P. (Marsha) Lazorishchak Jr. of Canton, Mich., Debra L. (Joseph) Piccolo of Watervliet and the late Anne M. Kaiser who died November 6, 2012 (husband Donald survives of Saratoga Springs); mother-in- law of the late A. Donald Marcoux; adored grandmother of Nicole (Stuart) Herlands, Pamela (Chris) Pohl, Jennifer (Bradford) Higgins, Nicholas P. (Julie) Lazorishchak III, Francis (Carrie) Lazorishchak, Joseph and Nicholas Piccolo and the late Michael Marcoux (wife Ioanna Marcoux survives); great-grandmother of Alexa and Joshua Herlands, Erin, Adam and Benjamin Pohl, Hannah, Claudia, McKenna and Lucus Lazorishchak, Kathryn and Francis Higgins and Michalis Marcoux. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 12 noon at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 58 Third St. (at State St.), Troy where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Michael Gorchov. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
