Benamati, Thersa M. (Landor) BOGHT CORNERS Theresa M. Landor Benamati, 79, of Landor Lane, Boght Corners, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany embraced by her loving family. Born in Boght Corners, she was the daughter of the late Jacob John and Catherine Pavalcak Landor and beloved wife of David X. Benamati of Boght Corners. Theresa was a life long area resident and attended St. Agnes School and graduated from Cohoes High School in 1951. Theresa was employed briefly with the State of New York and the majority of her life was selflessly dedicated to her family and home. Theresa was the true example of maternal love for her family. She was an accomplished author, published poet and story writer. Theresa was also a gifted and talented artist. A devout woman with a lifelong faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother, she enjoyed organizing pilgrimages to The Bayside Shrine. Theresa was a communicant of the former St Agnes and St. Joseph Churches and a member of the choir. She is a parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Cohoes. In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by her devoted children, Diana (Robert) DeCrescenzo of Wilton, Pamela Mary (Robert) Provost of Valley Falls, Andrea E. (Russell) Heggen of Halfmoon, David Patrick (Alice) Benamati, John Thomas (Rose) Benamati all of Cohoes, Gregory Gerard (Christina) Benamati of Orlando, Fla. and Stephen Anthony (Amanda) Benamati of Latham; 19 adored grandchildren; four cherished great-grandchildren, loving siblings, Betty Hutchens, Paul (Ann) Landor and Albina Della Rocco all of Cohoes and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Landor, Mary Frydel, Catherine Reepmeyer, Anna Galarneau and Michael Landor. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd, 105 Vliet Blvd, Cohoes, Saturday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Michael's Church at 9. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Waterford. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-7 p.m. Theresa's family would like to extend their gratitude to the care that was given to her by the staff at St. Peter's Hospital and St. Peter's Hospice Inn.
