Thomas, Robert J. THE BRONX Robert J. Thomas, 63, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, after a prolonged illness at Albert Einstein Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Robert was born on July 9, 1953, in Troy, to the late Frank J. and Marie (Graber) Thomas. He was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and attended Fordham University and Empire State College. He was employed as a program operations representative for New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal in New York City. Robert was active in the Public Employees Federation as Executive Board Member and leader of P.E.F. Division 168. Along with his parents, Robert was predeceased by his loving companion, Ramonota Cabot. He is survived by his brother, Frank Thomas (Nancy O'Keeffe); his aunt, Sister Katherine Graber RSM; numerous cousins and an extended family in the Bronx, Dawn-Maria Erazo, Jonas Erazo, Justin Erazo-Brown, Tatiana Erazo-Vazquez, Ramon Erazo, Rolando Erazo Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday, April 28, from 5-7 p.m. at the Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Road, Ballston Lake. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Albany, 43 North Main Ave., Albany NY 12203.
