Paul Donnelly

Donnelly, Paul TROY Paul Donnelly, 81, of Lansingburgh died suddenly on April 22, 2014 at the Kane Apartments in Troy. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Willard and Helen Canfield Donnelly. Mr. Donnelly was a graduate of LaSalle Institute in Troy and was retired from the New York State Department of Labor after 40 years of faithful service. He was a dedicated member of the Lansingburgh Rotary for many years and loved to spend time with the children at the Lansingburgh Boys & Girls Club, teaching them the art of playing chess. Paul was a well-respected college lacrosse official for many years, traveling all over the Northeast. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football and basketball. Paul was known for his charitable work at both the Boys & Girls Club and the food pantry at St. Augustine's Church where he was a communicant. Survivors include his friends, Cecelia Maloney of Troy, Frank Carlino Jr. of Latham as well as his dear friends from Rotary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Troy. Friends are invited to call at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Ave., (124th and 125th streets) in Lansingburgh on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m., prior to the service.
