Susan Corey

Corey, Susan (Boland) LATHAM Susan (Boland) Corey, 91, of Latham, passed away on August 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in County Clare, Ireland, she came to America in 1949. Susan is the daughter of the late James D. and Ellen (Lyons) Boland. Susan attended Troy Business School and worked at Cluett Peabody & Co. in Troy, for several years. Susan married John A. Corey in St. Patrick's Church, Troy, in 1951. They cherished each other for 65 years prior to his passing in 2017. Susan was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham, and was also a lifetime member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, JFK Division #1. Susan is survived by her daughter, Mary Teresa Corey; son, James (Theresa) Corey; sisters, Bernadette, Betty, Gertrude and Mary; beloved grandmother to Christopher and Ryan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, John; brothers, Patrick, John, Christopher and Joseph; and sisters, Nan and May. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 18, from 8-10 a.m. at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the calling hours at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet Shaker Road, Latham. Interment will follow Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
