Vincent LaBoissiere Obituary

LaBoissiere, Vincent A. WATERVLIET Vince passed peacefully at home surrounded by loving family and friends on March 6, 2011. Born in Troy, N.Y. on October 27, 1941, he was the son of the late John and Rita (Pafundi) La-Boissiere. After graduating from Catholic Central High School, Vince joined the United States Marine Corp and served until his honorable discharge in 1963. Upon discharge, Vince returned to the Watervliet Area and took a job with The Ford Motor Company in Green Island. He worked at Ford until it closed in 1989. Throughout his years of service with the Ford Motor Company, Vincent made several lasting friendships with many co-workers. Vince was an avid golfer, who truly loved the sport of golf. It was a game he enjoyed playing with his brothers and friends. He loved all types of sports and music. Vincent is survived by his wife Carol (Barber) LaBoissiere of 45 years; his cherished daughter, Monique Wagner of Watervliet; loving granddaughter, Emily Wagner of Watervliet; his brothers and sisters, Lt. Col. David LaBoissiere of Fredericksburg, Va., Kate Cooney of Sarasota, Fla., John LaBoissiere of Loudonville, Ruth Doane of Watervliet, Paul LaBoissiere of Watervliet, Michael LaBoissiere of Scotia and Missy Martin of Troy and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Rensselaer Hospice for the loving care and support given to Vincent and his family. At the request of the family, a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144. Arrangments are by the Parker Bros. Memorial, Watervliet. Aunt Carol & Monique,

Where do I begin?? Uncle Vinnie was always like a Dad to me, and for that I am very grateful!! The memories I have of Uncle Bean will forever be cherished. He was always my guiding light when I needed a male figure. He had that witty sense of humor that always made him a joy to be around. Rest now Uncle Vinnie and know that there are many people that will always be there to take care of your "BARNEY".

All my love,
Your neice Tiffany xoxo

Carol,
There are no words that any one can say to help the pain you're feeling right now. To lose some one you love is the most heart aching experience we go threw. I pray that God gives you the strength to help you at this time. As long as we remember our loved ones they are never gone, they live on forever in our hearths. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers & may God Bless you all.
