December 30, 2014

Dear Mrs. Corr and Extended Families,

May we offer our sincerest sympathy and heartfelt condolence. We are saddened by the news of Dan's passing, but take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and with his God.

Dan and I were classmates for 8 years at St Patrick's in Troy and we graduated together with the Class of '60 from LaSalle. I remember fondly sleigh riding in cardboard boxes in Frear Park, playing CYO basketball, the most holy alter boys at St Pat's; and football, proms, and marching at LSI.

Another good friend and brother was Dan's cousin Connie. There were about a dozen of us who went on from St Pat's to LaSalle and although this is a sad time for me also I can clearly see us in our 12 years of camaraderie and a wonderfully, joyful time of our youth when we grew from boy's into young men.

May God welcome Dan and comfort you with peace and love at this sorrowful time. May he Rest in Peace and be secure in God's Blessings. As we always prayed at the beginning of each class and athletic endeavor:

Live Jesus in our hearts…….forever!

I was very saddened to hear this. Mr Corr was always so easy going and kind. He was so proud of his family, he always had a sparkle in his eye when he spoke of them. He treated his children's friends with kindness and respect. He was a wonderful man I am proud to say I knew for almost 37 years. I grew up with Tracie, and we did some stupid things in our younger days... but he never yelled, or condemned us... would just help guide us. I always had respect for him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
