Anello, Franc A. REXFORD Franc A. Anello, 84, of Rexford, beloved husband for 43 years of Joan Quackenbush Anello, passed away on October 28, 2013, after a long illness. Born in New Rochelle, Franc was the son of the late Franc and Amelia Terralavoro Anello. He graduated from Evanderchilds High School in the Bronx, and earned a bachelor's degree from Fordham University. Franc was always in sales, in which he taught many sales forces for large companies. He later owned the BAI Engraving and Stamp Company for 25 years before retiring. Franc's first love was art. He was a member of the Colonie Art League, Southern Saratoga Artists Society and he taught drawing at the Shenendehowa evening programs for several years. He was also a member of Kiwanis International, B.P.O. Elks and worshipped at Christ Community Reformed Church in Clifton Park. Franc enjoyed taking rides in the country and dining out with his wife, Joan. He also enjoyed golfing, loved photography, painting and spending time with his grandchildren. Franc is survived by his wife Joan; his children, James Anello (Deborah) of Troy, Janet Sodergren (John) of Brockton, Mass., Paul Robetor (Kathleen) of Latham and Kimberly Robetor of Ballston Lake; nine grandchildren, Tony, Jenny, Angie, Laura, Susan, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Bryce and Jared and five great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to visit with Franc's family on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A funeral service, to which all are invited, will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Gardner Earl Chapel at Oakwood Cemetery, Oakwood Avenue, Troy. The Rev. Dr. Johan G. Bosman will officiate. Interment will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CCRC's Building Fund, 1010 Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065 or to the charity of your choice. Still think of you often, especially think of you when I was very young. I remember you playing the guitar and singing for us. Miss your artwork and wonderful Christmas cards. Rest in peace.

Joan, Kim and Paul,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I just loved Franc, his smile and his humor. All those family dinners were so much more special for me just having Franc walk in the door. He was always so sweet to me and I really enjoyed our conversations. My deepest sympathy and love to you all. XXOO Cindy

Over 40 years ago, we started trading ideas, insults, personal situations, many laughs and that active association continued as you know until he died.

Joan, you wondered to this day why Franc & I, always found stuff to laugh about over the years.

Of late, how could an older, also sick with age guy from a thousand miles away continue to keep a close watch on his friend Franc.

One reason we were always honest with each other. We could talk freely knowing what we said about our work, families, ideas etc., would not come back for any reason at any time in a way designed to hurt.

As Franc said, "I can get all kinds of well meaning soft answers out here but if I want the bare bones, hard nosed, clear unvarnished truth, Monte was the one I could count on"

Our association, working together or via phone, letter and E-MAIL, survived mostly because of the fundamentals Franc believed in and always tried to live by.

We did not always agree but we had a trusting relationship all these years which is kind of rare.
