Joseph J. Jacon

WATERFORD Joseph J. Jacon, 79, of Pheasant Run, entered into eternal rest September 6, 2006 at home, surrounded by his family. Born September 15, 1926 in Troy, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Rutkowski Jacon. Joe served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. A lifelong resident of the Tri-city area, he was employed by the Mohawk Paper Mills in Cohoes, retiring in 1992 to perfect his golf game and his garden. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be no calling hours and the services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Joe's memory to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144. Arrangements are under the direction of the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, Waterford.
