Nicotina, Angela (Spadaro) ALBANY Angela Nicotina, 95, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Santa Teresa Di Riva, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Antonino and Giuseppa Miuccio Spadaro. She was a home-maker. She was a devoted parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church. Angela enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking for her family and friends. But most all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved children, grandchildren and other family members and friends. Angela was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Nicotina, and most recently by her loving son, Franz Nicotina in 2010. She was the loving mother of Vincenzo Nicotina (Francesca) of Italy, Joseph Nicotina (Mary Louise), Giovanni Nicotina (Rosanne), Ottavio Nicotina, Salvatore Nicotina, Filippa "Pina" Bassotti (William), Elvira Cosentino (Luigi), Anna Maria Nicotina and the late Franz Nicotina; grandmother of Maria Gessner (Albert), Maria Kotary (Mark), Orlando Cosentino (Chrissy), Christina Pickreign (Jeremy), John Nicotina, Jolene Nicotina, Jolana Nicotina, and Lance Valderamma (Judy); great-grandmother of Albert, Angela, Jacob, Taylor, Sophia, Isabella and Kyle; sister of Domenica Campagna, Paola Spadaro, Giuseppa Trimarchi, Santo Spadaro, all of Italy, Vincenza Castorina of Australia and the late Carmela Spadaro; aunt of Vincent Nicotina (Mimi); survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the health care professionals for their care and compassion during Angela's illness. Funeral services, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. from the McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 N. Allen St., Albany thence to Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany at 10:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday, February 25, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment, Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
