Morris, Anthony ALBANY Anthony "Tony" Morris passed away on October 16, 2013 with his family by his side after a short illness. Tony was born to the late Edward and Alma Morris on December 24, 1956. Tony was educated in the Albany city school system and was employed by the New York State Office of General Services for more than 35 years as a senior draftsman. He retired in April 2012. He will be remembered and cherished by his beloved wife, Sherry Morris; two daughters, Molana and Azelia Morris; two stepdaughters, Pauline Roquemore and Tyrell Gladen; four brothers, Edward "Sanko" Morris Jr., Laywood "Lenny" Morris who was a true brother and Tony's mentor, James "Russell" Morris and Daryl Morris; and mother-in-law, Pauline Lewis. Tony was preceeded by his oldest brother, Otis "Bobby" Morris, and his sister, Shirley Morris. Tony held a special place in his heart for his godson, Jamar Brown, and his baby nephews, Brieon, Chandler and especially Vulonn. Also, his best friends, Fred, Peter, and Handsome and many more special friends. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. Funeral service, Monday, October 21, 2013, 5 p.m. at Garland Bros. Funeral Home, 75 Clinton Ave. Viewing 3 to 5 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
