Alvarado, Armando ALBANY Armando Alvarado, 60, died on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at St. Peter's Hospital Community Hospice. Born August 1, 1952, in Man-hattan he grew up in Brooklyn. Son of Armando and Felicita (Osinaldi). He married Ruth Quinones of Waterbury, Conn. (1970-1984); they had a son. He married Lynn Smith of Kingston, N.Y. (1984-1994); they had a daughter. Armando's greatest achievements were his two children whom he adored. Armando loved to dance salsa and dubbed himself "Mambo Daddy." He loved the Hudson River. Armando was both philosophical and spiritual and had a keen sense of humor. Armando is survived by his son, Armando "Junie" (Peggy) of New London, Conn.; daughter, Nicole of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren; sisters, Magda of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Aurea of Ambridge, Pa.; six nephews; three nieces; friend and mentor, Kobad Arjani. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth; both parents; and three siblings: Jose, Millie and Oscar. Somewhere over the rainbow. .
