Bernice V. Robinson

Robinson, Bernice V. CASTLETON Bernice V. (Gay) Robinson, 88, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. She was born on March 22, 1923 in Wolcott, Vt., and was the daughter of the late Julius William and Beula Charlotte (Bailey) Gay. Bernice devoted her life to raising her seven children. She was an avid gardener, berry picker, seamstress and truly enjoyed baking "treats" for her family and friends. She also worked for many years cleaning various businesses and organizations in the Village of Castleton. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Robinson, who died in 1968; mother of Gloria J. Caple (Leroy) of Wingdale, N.Y., Robert L. Robinson (Kathy) of East Greenbush, Jerry G. Robinson (Jayne) of Castleton, Joanne G. Geren (Thomas) of San Antonio, Texas, Virginia G. Reid (Robert) of Bensalem, Pa., Deborah L. Coolidge (late Steven) of Ghent and Connie L. Spaulding of Port Orange, Fla.; great-grandmother of Kellie Buono, Lori Bradley, Robert Robinson, David and Bonnie Robinson, Amy and Nina Geren, Whitney Reid, Brianna Dillaman, Stephanie and Steven Coolidge, and Kevin, Angela and Daniel Spaulding; and great-grandmother of 11. Bernice was predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth, Phyllis, Corrine, Nellie, and Russell. A private graveside ceremony will be held at the convenience of her family.
