Wickswat, Cathy S. REXFORD Cathy S. Wickswat, 55, of Grooms Road, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, November 12, 2012. She was born in Malone, N.Y., the daughter of John and Ruth Southworth. She was a graduate of Cornell University with a BS in farm business manag-ement and finance. Cathy was employed as a farm business agent for Cooperative Extension for 30 years and in the same capacity for Cargill in Albany. She excelled at her professional career, which consisted of supporting people in accomplishing their goal of successful dairy farming. She was a mentor for the Northeastern Dairy Challenge Team and also for the Shenendehowa Robotics Team 20. Cathy also enjoyed fishing at the family camp, Syracuse basketball games, and family trips. She was known for going out of her way to help others in any way she could. Survivors include her mother, Ruth (Brooks) Southworth of Malone; her loving and devoted husband, George Wickswat, whom she married on September 15, 1979; her devoted children, Katie Switzer of Amana, Iowa, Kevin and Daniel Wickswat, both of Rexford; one brother and one sister, David Southworth and Mary Jane Martin, and several nieces and nephews, all of Bangor, N.Y. She was predeceased by her beloved father, John Southworth of Bangor. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Clifton Park Center Baptist Church, 713 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park. Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. The family requests in lieu of flowers or donations, simply do something kind for another person in her memory. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park.
