Mikolajcik, Frances Galipeau MECHANICVILLE Frances Galipeau Mikolajcik, 87, of Mechanicville and formerly of Jefferson Avenue in Cohoes, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy embraced by her loving family. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen Dufuor Galipeau and beloved wife of the late Stephen J. Mikolajcik Sr. Frannie was a lifelong area resident who graduated from St. Joseph's School in Cohoes. She was employed with the Watervliet Arsenal and also as a clerk with New York State at the Alfred E. Smith Building in Albany. Frannie later devoted her life to her home and raising her loving family. They were the focus of her life. She was a very active communicant of the former St. Agnes Parish community, a member of the Rosary Society and Mother's Club. Frannie was also a member of the Keveny and Cohoes High School PTA, Columbiettes of Cohoes and was active with various political organizations with the city of Cohoes. She was very talented with crafts, enjoying ceramics, knitting and sewing. Frannie was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Cohoes. She is survived by her devoted children, Frances E. (Michael) Mone of Mechanicville and Stephen J. (Candy) Mikolajcik Jr. of Grafton, Ohio; cherished grandchildren, Michael, Leanne, Alexis, John, Deidre and Aaron and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ltd. 105, Vliet Blvd., Cohoes, Thursday November 15, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Trinity Parish at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes.
