Harrison Brown Obituary

Brown, Harrison Chase FORT COLLINS, Colo. Harrison Chase Brown was born in Fort Collins on March 30, 1995. He died suddenly September 25, 2010 in Rand, Colo. His interests and talents were many. First and foremost, Harrison had a smile as wide as his heart was big, willing to meet new people and talk to anyone, and was passionate about music and art. He rode at Epic BMX, and more recently loved skateboarding and long boarding. He was a proficient skier and loved Colorado mountains. He was active in the Boy Scouts and was currently serving as the Senior Patrol Leader for Troop 191 while working toward his Eagle. Harrison was a sophomore at Poudre High School in the International Baccalaureate Program. He was interested in climbing, and enjoyed the unified high school team from Inner Strength Gym that placed third at state in January 2010. He loved his dogs, Sandy and Elly. He volunteered with Fort Collins Museum Boxelder School House and Wild West summer programs and the Indian Market. Son of Paul and Barbara Brown; grandson of Harry and Peg Brown, Milt and Louise Weber and Roger Dyer. He loved being with his aunts and uncles and cousins. His extended family includes Frank and Barbara Pell, of Loudonville, N.Y., Matt and Virginia McColm, of Lakewood Colo., Paula McCullough, Monument, Colo., Matt and Natalie Armstrong, Leadville, Colo. His all-in-Colorado cousins include Molly, Ross and Will McColm, Katie, Alex and Hannah McCullough. An infant brother, Griffin Watkins Brown, preceded him in death. He gladly signed the organ donation consent on his driving permit and his family is grateful to report his heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas, and a lung were transplanted after his death. Donations of giving in his name may be made to: Boy Scouts of America Longs Peak Council, Discovery Science Center, or to Poudre High School to help students with expenses of IB or other PSD programming. Arrangements being handled by Allnutt; service at Timberline Church, Monday, October 4, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Fort Collins.

Harrison had a light that will continue to shine brightly for all who knew him. I pray God will continue to use the light of his memory to teach others to value all of the beauty in their world and to overcome all adversities. May the Almighty comforter draw you close and give you understanding and peace that will help you in your times of need. Lord show them your Glory!

I met Harrison last year and hung out with him for most of the summer. I have a lot of memories from my time with him. From his crazy bonfires to walking around Crystal Lake in the pitch black. I don't know if anyone is really gonna read this but I just want to state that my memories will always be special. Rest in Peace Harry, I'll always miss you. <3

Harrison has a lot of family & friends who loved him and is missing him right now, but the one thing you don't need to worry about is how he is doing right now. I am sure he is probably up in heaven skiing with Harry or talking Eagle scout stuff with Dave or maybe Peg is tryng to turn him on to herbs & flowers, I kow you both are really hurting so you need to hold and help each other right now.
