FORT PIERCE, Fla. James Adams, 79, died Saturday, November 29, 2003 at his residence. Born in Johnson City, Tenn., he was a former Troy resident and lived in Ft. Pierce for the past seven years. Prior to retirement, he was the plant engineer for Freihofer Baking Co. in Albany. Mr. Adams was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Elks Lodge, all in Lake George. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Joan C. Adams of Ft. Pierce; a son, Warren Adams of Peru, N.Y.; a daughter, Pamela Mulligan of Troy; two sisters, Mary Beth Raack of Calabasas, Calif. and Jane Kibby of Santa Ana, Calif.; three grandchildren; and six stepchildren. A memorial service was held at the Spanish Lakes Fairways Clubhouse in Fort Pierce. Burial will be in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, N.Y. at a later date.
