Tracey, Jean M. LATHAM Jean M. (LaCross) Tracey, 82, formerly of Watervliet, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy with her family at her side. Born in Watervliet on March 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Rosalie Duffney LaCross. Jean attended Sacred Heart of Mary School and Catholic Central High School in Troy. She was employed by Morgan Linen while in high school and was a waitress at the former Captain's Table in Latham. For over 15 years, she was employed at the Watervliet High School cafeteria and also worked at Covert Manufacturing Co. in Watervliet. She later was a crossing guard at the Immaculate Conception School in Watervliet and was a homemaker. Jean was a great cook and lived for her family. She is the beloved wife of 60 years of Raymond M. Tracey; devoted mother of Mary Ann (Terrence) Howe of Latham, Raymond D. (Nitza) Tracey of Watervliet and Patricia A. (David) Fairbairn of Ocean Grove, N.J.; adored grandmother of Shanna E. (Kyle) Gregoire, Raymond J. Tracey, Ryan M. Howe, Erin E. Tracey and Tracey J. Howe; dear sister of Robert (Janet) LaCross of Watervliet, Donald "Chic" (Judy Manning) LaCross of Watervliet, John LaCross of South Carolina and the late Rosemary Daley (husband James survives of Saratoga) and the late Joseph LaCross. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet with the Rev. John F. Tallman officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Saturday morning prior to the service from 8:30-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the in memory of Jean M.
