Raymond, John J. MIDDLETOWN John J. Raymond, 52, died suddenly on Saturday, September 8, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Troy, he was the son of Mary Turner Raymond of Troy and the late Alfred L. Raymond Sr. Raised and educated in Troy, he was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1978. John was a United States Marine veteran. Survivors in addition to his mother, Mary, include a sister, Mildred A. Snyder (John); two brothers, A. Leonard Raymond Jr. (Charisse) of Troy and James M. Raymond (Santa) of Winterhaven, Fla.; aunts, W. Grace Raymond and Betty Turner both of Troy and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be private. A memorial Mass will be scheduled for a later date. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers donations to National Shrine of St. Jude/Claretian Missionaries, 205W Monroe St., Chicago, IL 60606, would be appreciated.
