Willi, John Sr. "Larry" FULTONVILLE John "Larry" Willi Sr., 77, of Fultonville, formerly of East Greenbush, passed away December 1, 2012 at his home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Larry was born in Troy, on May, 17, 1935 to the late, Joseph and Margaret Judge Willi. He attended Vincentian High School and served in the Army National Guard in New York. On August 27, 1988 he was united in marriage to his loving wife of 24 years, Margaret Bell. Larry was a truck driver for Dorn's Transportation, Oneida and a Teamster for 27 years. He was also a self-employed carpenter who built his families' homes in both East Greenbush and Fultonville. Larry enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, skiing, traveling, and gardening. He wrote over 100 poems, composed six songs, played guitar, organ and the harmonica. Larry enjoyed doing pencil sketches and portraits in oil of his family. Larry was a member of Gerald O'Neil Post and a Community Hose FD for many years. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Margaret "Peggy" Bell-Willi; daughters, Marilyn Finn (Tom), Deborah Nash (John) and Jo-Ann Dockal (Wayne); sons, John Willi Jr. (Tracy), and Matthew Willi (Meagan); nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. Larry was very much looking forward to the births of three more great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his former wife, Sarah Cleary-Willi; brother, Donald Willi, as well as two infant brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 111 Third Ave, Tribes Hill, NY 12177, with Fr. Pat Gallagher. Family and friends are invited to a calling period from 4 to 7 p.m. at Jackson and Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY 12072 on December 4, 2012. Interment will immediately follow at Glen Village Cemetery.
