Normandin, Juanita (Champagne) COHOES Juanita Normandin, 95, of Erie St., passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Hope Residence on January 9, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Alice Marra Cham-pagne and the wife of the late Richard Norman-din. Juanita graduated from the Austin Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser in the area. During World War II Juanita worked in the mills of Cohoes. She also spent many years with her sister Mildred working as an accom-plished dance team throughout New York. Her true passions were dance and music. She was a long time communicant of Holy Trinity Parish. Juanita is survived by her loving son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Diane; sister-in-law, June Champagne; friend and cousin, Shirley Stockman as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Mildred Champagne and brother, William Champagne. Funeral services will be on Friday morning at 10:30 at our Lady of Hope Chapel, 1 Jeanne Jugan Ln. in Latham. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes. A special thank you to the Sisters and staff at Our Lady of Hope for their exceptional care and compassion.
