Treiling, Kenneth J. CATSKILL Kenneth J. "KT" Treiling, 60, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Ken was born February 25, 1952 in Queens. He spent his childhood years in Amityville. He graduated from Bethlehem Central High School and from there went on to Clarkson University where he received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering followed by obtaining his New York State professional engineer license. Over the years, he was employed by GE, ENCON and FEMA. At the present time, he was a self-employed engineer. Ken was an avid outdoorsman, who truly enjoyed hiking, boating, skiing and things that took him outside into the fresh air. He was a kind and gentle man who was well liked and respected by his friends and the community he lived in. Ken is the son of Kenneth Treiling of Slingerlands, and the late Elizabeth Treiling. He is survived by his five siblings, Kathy Spanner (Jack) of North Carolina, Jeanne Hawkey of Schenectady, Robert Treiling (Colleen) of Glenmont, Mary Treiling of Schenectady and Tom Treiling of Florida. He is also uncle to five nieces and seven nephews along with four great-grandnieces. Grateful thanks to all of those friends who were a special part of Ken's life. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., Albany with a prayer service immediately following at 12:30 p.m. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, in Glenmont.
