Fox, Leonard R. Jr. ALBANY Leonard R. Fox Jr., 60, of Albany, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital. Lenny was born in Albany, and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Cardinal McCloskey High School, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1975 including service aboard the USS Donald B. Beary DE-1085. He was employed by the U.S. Post Office both before and after serving in the Navy, and worked for many years at the post office in Ravena. He was a communicant of the former Our Lady Help of Christians Church, and he enjoyed researching his family's genealogy, gardening, and taking trips to the beach. Lenny is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Murray Fox; his parents, Leonard R. Fox Sr. and Maria Frangella Fox; his children, William "Billy" Fox and Meghan Fox of Albany; his sisters, Annmarie Marsh (Robert) of Selkirk, and Lisa Ricci (Curt) of Glenmont; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Graham (Thomas), and Stephen Murray (Diane) of Northern Ireland; his grandchildren, Anthony, Laila, and Charlotte; and by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, both here and in Northern Ireland. Lenny was predeceased by his first wife, Carol Dwyer Fox, and by his brother, Kevin P. Fox. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Friday morning at 8:30, and from there to the Parish of Mater Christi, Hurst Ave., Albany, at 9:30. Relatives and friends are invited, and may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 1 p.m., Friday. The family suggests memorial contributions to the , 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205; or the , 1 Penny Ln, Latham, NY 12110.
