Morris, Lois E. (Palmer) SCHODACK Lois E. Palmer Morris, 78, formerly of Schodack, passed peacefully in her sleep Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes after a long illness. Born in Rensselaer to the late Charles and Dorothy Noel Palmer, she lived in southern Rensselaer County all of her life. Lois was married to the love of her life, Kenneth L. Morris for 51 years when Ken died in 2006. Together Lois and Ken raised five children, traveled the world and chased their dreams. Together they also built and ran two excavation businesses, Ken Morris and Son Excavation and Morris Development. Survivors include four daughters, Darlene (Link) Pettit of Delanson, Lois (James) Bennett of Hillsborough, N.J., Donna (Thomas) Haberland of Nassau, Jackie (James) Green of Cary, N.C.; and a son, Kenneth C. (Linda-Le) Morris II of Schodack; 13 grandchildren, April, Rebecca, Alyssa Pettit, Lois Ann, Brittany, and Thomas Bennett II, Thomas and Corey Haberland, Jason and Angelica Green, Kenneth, Jeremy and Nicholas Morris. She was the sister of Phyllis Kellman of East Greenbush and the late C. William Palmer. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer and 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, East Greenbush, where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated.
