Schad, Margaret C. SCHODACK Margaret C. "Peggy" Boyle Schad, age 87 years, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy. She was born in the Bronx, grew up in Bayside, spent summers in Rockaway Beach, moved to Albany in 1956 and has resided in Schodack since 1960. Mrs. Schad was employed in the payroll department of General Motors and was a homemaker. She made lasting friendships thru the NY Telephone Pioneers that she and her late husband Ed belonged. She was a communicant of the Church of the Holy Spirit in East Greenbush and was a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. Peggy's best times were spent with family. Her family meant everything to her. She enjoyed many summers with family on Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Wife of the late Edward A. Schad, whom she married on September 27, 1947 in Bayside, Long Island. Mother of Mark A. Schad, Anne (Denis) Warrington, Peggy (Shawn) Grandy and the late Mary Schad; grandmother of Dawn A. Chivers, Nikolaus A. Schad and Brian P., Kerry E. and Margaret A. Warrington; great-grandmother of Conor and Megan Chivers. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer Wednesday morning at 8:30 and 9:30 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Columbia Tpk., East Greenbush, where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. The family would like to thank the staff's of Eddy Heritage House and Hawthorne Ridge for the care, concern and support shown to our mother.
