Kocienski, Margaret TROY Margaret "Peggy" Kocienski beloved wife of the late Stephen J. Kocienski and former resident of Lansingburgh for over 50 years passed away quietly and gently in her sleep at the Eddy Village Green on January 10, 2013. She was born to the late Electra (Hatcher) Ryan and Ray Crump on October 20, 1925 in Troy. Peg attended Troy public Schools and was a beloved waitress at the Palace Diner for many years. She retired from the NYS Library in the 90's and sold Avon in her community for over 30 years. She was an avid member of the Uncle Sam Stamp Club in Troy and always enjoyed marching in the annual Uncle Sam Parade. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (John) Broderick of Watervliet and predeceased by daughter, Mary Truitt of California. Grandchildren, Stephanie (Peter) Gemmiti of Clifton Park, Jack Broderick of Colonie, Cindy (Tom) Waltemath of Colorado and Glen Truitt of California; great-grandchildren, Stephen Gemmiti and Peyton, Brody, Brandon and Austin Waltemath; siblings, Madeline Schultz and Raymond Crump; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy Crump, Marge and Joe Kocienski and Rose Morawski along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings, Barbara Garbowski, Helen Roy, Leslie Crump and Kathryn Garcia. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 870 Second Ave. (124th & 125th Streets) in Lansingburgh. Friend are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. The interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Troy.
