Dickert, Marilyn ALBANY Marilyn V. Dickert, 75, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Baystate Hospital in Springfield, Mass. after a long illness. She was born in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Catherine Bender. Marilyn was employed with New York State Comptroller's Office and the Department of Audit & Control for many years. She was currently employed at OMCE, Office of Management and Confidential Employees. Marilyn was devoted to her cherished family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Dickert; her sons, Charles (Jennifer) Hofmann, Bruce Hofmann and Jeffrey (Denise) Dickert. She is the grandmother of Jessica and Nicole Hofmann, Catherine, Nolan and Mason Dickert. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Paluba and a brother. Marilyn is the dear friend of Marion Murphy. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:45 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie then to Mater Christi Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be in Marilyn's name to SPCA of Upstate New York, 588 Queensbury Ave, Queensbury, NY 12804 or Waldorf School of Saratoga, 122 Regent Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. I was saddened to hear of the loss of Marilyn. She was one of those special people who put everyone (especially her pets)first. She was one of the most caring individuals I have every met. I will cherish the times I shared with her for the rest of my life. Thanks for making me a better person.

I was so sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing. I have very fond memories of Marilyn. I worked with her about 17 years ago at OMCE. I will pray for her family.
