McQuade, Michael E. COHOES Michael Earl McQuade, 56, of Cohoes, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side on Saturday, November 17, 2012. He was born in Troy, May 16, 1956 and was married to Ann (Dowdell) McQuade. Mike proudly served in the US Marine Corps. He was an avid NY Yankees and Dallas Cowboys Fan, who also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his best buddy, Donovan. Mike was employed with Gardenway in Troy as a welder for over 20 years. In addition to his beloved wife Ann, he is survived by his loving children, Ernie (Nicole) McQuade and Kelly McQuade; his cherished grandson, Donovan; as well as his parents, Patricia and Earl McQuade, his father, Charles (Bunny) Ayotte; and his siblings, Edward (Sandy), Chris (Martha), Kathleen, Yvonne (George), Randy and Richard; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of St. Peters Cancer Care Center and Community Hospice for the care and compassion they showed to Mike and his family. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will take place on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mike's memory to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Road, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
