Fennell, Michael W. TROY Michael W. Fennell, 64, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at home with his family by his side. Born in Troy, he was the son of Marie C. Vece Fennell of Troy and the late Thomas G. Fennell and husband of Nora Ferris Fennell of Troy. They were married for 40 years. Raised and educated in Troy, he was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. Mike worked for Niagara Mohawk for 36 years, "Biggie", retiring in 2006 as an underground electric foreman. He previously worked with his father at Fennell Bros. Laundry & Dry Cleaning. A gifted athlete, Mike was an avid golfer and loved coaching Troy Youth Hockey. He managed and enjoyed playing for Fennell Bros. Softball Team during the 1980's and playing goalie for the Tri City Oilers Hockey Team. Mike's exuberance for life will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors in addition to his wife Nora and mother Marie, include, his daughter Sarah Fennell (Thomas Pakenham) of Huntington, N.Y.; his son Michael Fennell (Michelle Goergen) of Troy; two grandchildren, Shea Pakenham and Eden Fennell; a sister Kathleen Turo (George) of Troy; brother Thomas Fennell of Troy, brother-in-law Tony Ferris (Maureen) of Waterford; nieces and nephews, Shannon Gendron, Eileen Turo, Justin Ferris, Kate Phillips and Dana Ferris. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Cremation will take place at Gardner Earl Crematorium, Troy.
