My prayers go out to the family of Myles especially his twin brother Marcelle. My heart goes out to the mom, our little angel went home to be with the Lord 2 years ago on July 26th at the age of 9 after battling a long illness so I know that the Lord will give you strength & peace as well comfort as you go through each day w/o him. It's not easy but trust, lean & depend on the Lord. May God bless you all.

My mind goes back in time to the day Zack came home and told me “Mom, Myles is a very special boy”. He said this as a fact that everyone knew and he was “filling me in” on what was common knowledge. Well, believe me- there is no doubt in my mind. Myles is a very special boy and I thank God every day that Zachary was able to know him, spend time with him, laugh with him, and be a friend to him. Our lives are richer because of Myles. I am a better mother because of YOUR “very special boy”.

Laurel...As a mother of a nine year old boy, I can not begin to imagine your grief....I followed the story of Myles thru his first illness on CaringBridge....I had no idea he was sick again and was shocked to see the story in today's TU.....I can't begin to convey my grief and understanding to you..That little boy lit up my day years ago....reading about his treatments and his love for Marcelle made my day//I will keep you in prayer....He is in a great angel with wings like giant orange slices in the sky....May God be with you Laurel, many mothers, mother for years on end, yet don't have the impact you did on this precious short life.....Please know you have a place in heaven for sure !!!

The fun and laughs which erupted whenever Myles and Marcelle stopped by the office, have become part of our work tradition. Mischief was clearly in the eyes of these precious boys, and they were not to be denied! Laurel was so generous in sharing her dynamic duo with staff and made sure they completed their rounds to greet all. We thought of Myles and Marcelle as our extended family. The pain of our loss can only be alleviated by the memories of little Myles and his prankish grin. And, we will be looking for Marcelle with the same eagerness as we always anticipated his visits. Myles will remain alongside us as we continue together on a journey of remembrance because his 'heart light' is perpetual. We all have a role in keeping that light close.

Laurel - my heart is broken. We know what affect he had on everyone, including us. His absence at Melodies will leave a void and heavy hearts behind but stands as a reminder of why these kids do what they do. They are all SO SPECIAL. When I got the email from Veronica (AMC) I had a difficult time accepting what was being told. The picture of Myles and Michael, to this day has it's own special place for all to see. I wish their was something that would help make the pain go away for us yet Thank God, that he has taken that pain away for Myles. I need to wrap you in my arms and pray you are given the strength to endure...he had a special place and a special mission in his short time on earth.
