Nancy Binley Obituary

Binley, Nancy R. DELMAR Nancy R. Binley of Delmar, N.Y., was born on October 3, 1943 and entered eternal life of Saturday, May 5, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospital following a six-month illness. Her quiet faith gave her strength for the journey. She lived most of her life in Delmar, where her mother's family has a long and distinguished history. She is predeceased by her father, Paul G. Binley Sr. and her mother, Alice Rosboro Binley. Expressing herself through her love of art and music, Nancy graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in 1961, followed by business school. Nancy worked from her home, caring lovingly for both her grandmother and mother. She loved cats, dogs, gardens and birds. Above all, she devoted herself to God, His Word, and the First United Methodist Church where she was a member for more than 50 years and a steadfast volunteer, even when it became difficult for her physically. Her shining eyes and quiet spirit will be missed by many. Surviving are her brother, Paul (Gary) Binley Jr. of Greenville, N.Y. and cousins, Joan Thom of Rancho Mirage, Calif. and Barbara Mallory of Ontario, Canada, and special friends. Interment will take place in Bethlehem Cemetery on Friday, May 18 at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church, 428 Kenwood Ave., Delmar (439-9976.) Funeral arrangements are by Applebee Funeral Home.
