Tagliento, Peter J. Jr. EAST GREENBUSH Peter J. Tagliento Jr., age 66 yrs., of East Greenbush, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief and courageous fight with metastasis melanoma. He was born in Albany and has lived in East Greenbush for the past 44 years. Pete is a retiree of Verizon with 41 years of service. He was a long-time member of the Empire State Metal Detectors Association. Pete enjoyed fishing and driving remote control cars, but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family. Devoted and beloved husband of 45 years to Carol Musella Tagliento; loving father to Michelle S. Nebral (Christopher) and Peter John Tagliento III. Special grandfather to Amanda Nebral. Son of the late Peter J. Tagliento Sr and Jennie Carlatti Tagliento. Brother of Barbara Smith (Christopher). Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to offer special thank yous to close friends and neighbors for your love and support, to Dennis Cicchino, RPA, for many years of medical care and friendship, and also the wonderful caring nurses on the sixth floor at Albany Memorial Hospital. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
