Pinto, Ralph L. EAST GREENBUSH Ralph L. Pinto, born March 10, 1930, was born into eternal life January 12, 2013. He was born in Manhattan to the late Albert and Mary (Martone) Pinto and attended the New York City Public school system. He worked for Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority (MAB STOA) as a bus operator and later as a dedicated union leader with Local 100 of the Transport Workers Union of America (TWU). He retired in 1991. Ralph was a communicant of the Church of St. Mary in Clinton Heights. Ralph was the devoted husband of Judith (Devane) Pinto since August 1978; always aiming to keep her happy. They enjoyed vacations at Long Beach Island and Cape Cod. When residing in Larchmont, N.Y., he enjoyed the horses at Yonkers and later when he retired and moved to the Capital Region, he tried to pick his winners at the Saratoga Racetrack. He rescued his shepherd mix dog, Muffin from a shelter and was devoted to his sidekick. Prior to that his dog, Ginger, shared life with Ralph for 18 years. Most recently his neighbor's dog, Lily, brought smiles to his face. Ralph is the brother to the late Emelia Isaacson and Ciro Pinto. Survivors include several cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Thursday morning at 9:30 from the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer and 10 o'clock at the Church of St. Mary where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated. Friends and family are invited to his calling hours Wednesday evening 4-8 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer.
