Finley, Randall K. Sr. COXSACKIE Randall K. Finley Sr., age 83, of Coxsackie, died at his home on Saturday, December 29, 2012. He was born June 7, 1929 in Selkirk, the son of the late Thomas and Grace (Lewis) Finley. He was married November 19, 1950, in Coeymans to Dolores Southard, who predeceased him. He drove a bus for many years, starting with Pemberton's of Ravena, then Mountain View Coach Lines in Coxsackie. After moving to Coxsackie, he worked for Pennsylvania Truck Lines in Selkirk, where he retired as terminal manager. Mr. Finley proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Finley was a member of the Second Reformed Church of Coxsackie, and a former commodore and member of the Coxsackie Yacht Club, Member of Selkirk Fire Company 2, Coxsackie American Legion, and an active volunteer at the Senior Projects of Ravena where he could be found calling bingo on Sunday evenings. He enjoyed woodworking and bowling. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he also enjoyed being around his family, traveling to Washington state to see his brother, and being with all his friends at the Senior Projects of Ravena. He is survived by his two sons, Randy K. (Louise) Finley of Coxsackie and Leonard L. (Jo Halleck-Finley) Finley of East Nassau; his four grandchildren, Jennifer (Seth) Weinstein of Coxsackie, Erin (Tom) Murphy of Leeds, Joseph Finley and Thomas Finley, both of East Nassau; his brother, Reid Finley of Everett Wash.; his great-grandchildren, Sydney and Logan Weinstein, Tommy and Connor Murphy and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Thomas Finley, Ruth Barker, Clifford Finley, Shirley Pelletier and John Finley. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the W.C. Brady's Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie. The V.F.W. Post 10986 will hold services in his memory at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Second Reformed Church in Coxsackie. Interment will follow in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery with full military honors. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. The family suggests memorial donations in Mr. Finley's name be sent to the Second Reformed Church or to the Coxsackie or the Senior Projects of Ravena. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
