Rohrmiller, Richard A. Sr. ALBANY Richard A. Rohrmiller Sr., 80, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at St. Peter's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Czwakiel) Rohr-miller. Mr. Rohrmiller was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for 40 years as a sheet metal mechanic with VF Connors Company in Albany retiring in 1992. He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit and the Albany Elks BPOE 49. Mr. Rohrmiller was past president of AARP 1593 and a member of the Albany Seniors and NNORC. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and being a Little League coach, traveling and family time. Husband of 58 years to Dorothy H. (Barnes) Rohrmiller; father of the Rev. Donna J. Rohrmiller of Ghana, West Africa, Deborah A. (Victor) Baranowski of Snyders Lake, Richard A. (Eva) Rohrmiller Jr. of Furlong, Pa., Daniel J. (Marie) Rohrmiller of Albany and David E. (Amy) Rohrmiller of Snyders Lake; grandfather of Victor, Kristi (Ballard), Erik and William Baranowski, Richard A. III, William and Hayden Rohrmiller, Jacqueline Shah and Rachel Fil, Stephanie Schumaker and Brittney Rohrmiller; great-grandfather of JJ Shah. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rohrmiller was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Margaret (Ray) Toma, and Dorothy (Chet) Saglimbeni and Catherine (Don) Osterhoudt. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 57 Hurlbut St., Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany, on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, Colonie.
