Beeble, Robert H. "Bob" HUNTSVILLE, Ala. Robert "Bob" H. Beeble, 84, of Huntsville, passed away Monday, April 8, 20123. Mr. Beeble graduated high school from La Salle Institute and from college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, both of Troy, N.Y. He was the starting center and captain of the LaSalle football team, and played for RPI. He was recently inducted into the LaSalle Institute Athletic Hall of Fame. After graduating from RPI, he worked for Goodyear in Akron, Ohio, and then moved to New York to work for IBM for 30 plus years. His projects included the B-52 bomber, Guidance System of the Saturn V Rocket in Huntsville, and semiconductor manufacturing in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Mr. Beeble enjoyed dancing with his wife, where they were known to clear the dance floor with the jitterbug or a polka. He fished, bowled, golfed, and after retirement fulfilled a lifelong dream by earning his private pilot's license. He was able to combine his favorite hobbies flying his plane to golf with his children, and then flying across country to visit family. The most important part of his life was his family and church. He was committed and involved in all activities of his children, including PTA chairman, band parent, scout master, Good Shepherd "Good-Timers", widows and widowers, Knights of Columbus and alderman of the city of Poughkeepsie. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Frances Emery Beeble in 1983; infant son, Joseph Beeble in 1961; parents, Metro Beeble and Mary Fromell Beeble and brother, Harold Beeble. Survivors include sons, Robert Mark Beeble of Huntsville, and Thomas G. Beeble and wife, Toni, of Highland, N.Y.; daughters, Mary Pitruzzello and husband, Michael of Huntsville, Judith Monks and husband, Joe, of Hertford, N.C., Margaret "Peggy" Smith and husband, Herb, of Huntsville, and Ann Marie Hughes and husband, Thomas, of Hastings on Hudson, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, Huntsville, with a Rosary service at 7:30. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Louis Giardino officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to .
