Folmsbee, Robert J. Sr. RENSSELAER Robert J. Folmsbee Sr., 71, of Rensselaer, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at Albany Medical Center. Robert was born in Rensselaer to the late Prescott and Beatrice Blowers Folmsbee. Bob worked as a young man at various jobs and many years with Jack Warner at auctions, while his life's work was as a baker for Freihofer's bakery for 28 years. He retired in 1994. He was the "guy" who made the chocolate chip cookies. Bob enjoyed 50s music, wrestling, fishing and was a regular at bingo at the South Schodack Firehall. Bob's greatest love was his wife and family. He had a simple way of living life work hard, play hard and love family and friends as much as possible. Predeceased by his son, Robert J. Folmsbee Jr. Robert is survived by his best friend, soul mate and beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia J. Folmsbee; one daughter, Robin (Rich) Green; one son, Scott (Bryant) Folmsbee Bennett; one sister, Patricia Pittman and two brothers, Richard (Cheryl) Folmsbee and Timothy (Tracy) Truesell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer. Friends may call in the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Castleton.
