Tabor, Roland Duane "Rollie" SCHENECTADY Roland Duane "Rollie" Tabor, 84, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Ellis Hospital in Schen-ectady. Born in Schenec tady on July 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Duane and Marguerite (Barnhart) Taber. He was a life long area resident and attended Schenectady schools. During the Korean Conflict, Roland proudly served with the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Roland worked for the City of Schenectady Sewer Department with 33 years of service until his retirement. Roland enthusiastically enjoyed baseball and passionately supported the NY Yankees. In addition to his parents, Roland was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (nee: Hall) Tabor in 1978 and three brothers, Walter, Herman and Duane Jr. Survivors include his children, Robert and Richard Tabor of Schenectady, Phyllis DeVarnne of Schenectady, Patricia Tabor of Albany, Susan (Steven) Tousignant of Cohoes and Roseanna (Robert) Young of N.H.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady followed by interment in Park View Cemetery, Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 11 until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
