Chase, Rosemary E. GLENVILLE Rosemary E. (nee: Noonan) Chase, 81, of Glenville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2012. Born in Glens Falls, N.Y. on June 29, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Noonan Sr. and Madeline (nee: Carpentier) Noonan. She was raised and educated in Whitehall, N.Y. and together with her husband, Hollis V. Chase Sr., made their home in Attica, N.Y. In 1976, the Chase family moved to Scotia where they have lived to present day. Rosemary was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Scotia. Rosemary was employed by Parsons Home for Children in Albany as a pediatric nurse for several years. She devoted much of her life to raising her family. She enjoyed many forms of dance, including ballroom dancing with her husband. She golfed and traveled throughout the United States. She is remembered by her family as an artistic woman, who was talented in several media, including, painting, drawing and ceramics. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hollis V. Chase Sr.; two daughters, Holly A. Nilssen and Pamela M. May and her brother, Thomas Noonan Jr. She is survived by two sons, Hollis V. "Joe" Chase Jr. of Scotia and Thomas W. (Karen) Chase Sr. of Scotia; her daughter, Karen (Frederick) Corcoran of Scotia; her son-in-law, Steven Nilssen of Long Island, N.Y.; her sister, Angela Nichols of S.C.; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grand children and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 5, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 231 Second St., Scotia followed by inurnment in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 4, from 5 until 7 p.m. at The White Funeral Home, 264 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia.
